Construction Worker Died of Natural Causes

A construction worker in Santa Maria died after being admitted to the hospital for a back injury from a construction accident. Alejandro Becerra is a worker with Luker Framing and General Construction and police determined that his death was a result of natural causes. It seems that he died of diabetes and a heart condition and not a result of the accident. California’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the incident and determine if Becerra’s company was in any way responsible. They will also determine if there are any state code violations that may have contributed to the accident.
