Kraft Foods Chicken Recall Expands

Kraft Foods has expanded its recall of Oscar Meyer and Louis Rich chicken strips after reports of listeria bacteria in the pre-packaged strips.

Consumers should look for recalled packages of Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich Chicken Breast Strips and Cuts in 6-ounce and 12-ounce packages with a "use by" date of May 28, 2007 or earlier. The packaging is marked "P-19676" inside the Department of Agriculture mark of inspection.

In a press release, Kraft claimed it was removing the products as a precautionary measure after a single affected package was tested and found.
