Listeria in Potato Salad Prompts Recall

Listeria has been found in packages of Cobern’s, Cash Wise and Midwest Pride potato salad, prompting a seven-state recall in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Nebraska.

Cash Wise One of 89 Stores to Recall Potato Salad

The potato salad was manufactured by DBC Foods. A voluntary recall was announced last week. The listeria monocytogenes bacteria can be responsible for listeriosis in immune-compromised, old and young victims. Symptoms include stiff neck, headache, nausea and fever.
