Listeria in Potato Salad Prompts Recall
Listeria has been found in packages of Cobern’s, Cash Wise and Midwest Pride potato salad, prompting a seven-state recall in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Nebraska.
The potato salad was manufactured by DBC Foods. A voluntary recall was announced last week. The listeria monocytogenes bacteria can be responsible for listeriosis in immune-compromised, old and young victims. Symptoms include stiff neck, headache, nausea and fever.
