10,000 Pounds of Beef Recalled in E.Coli Scare

A slaughterhouse that processed Richwood Meat frozen beef patties is being blamed for the E.Coli outbreak that has affected at least three children in California.

The beef, which was packaged last year and sold under Fireriver, Chef's Pride, Ritz Food, Blackwood Farms, California Pacific Associates, C&C Distributing, Golbon and Richwood labels, was recalled in response to an E.Coli outbreak. It was reportedly sold in California, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. E.Coli can have fatal side effects for immune-compromised individuals, elderly patients and children.
